 Description: A direct marketing campaign management and decision support system. It provides information about Campaigns, Lists and Segments. It provides projections of future performance for formula, payments, and returns, Campaign simulation, List selection, Campaign performance tracking and analysis.
 Responsibilities:
Support and stabilization of newly migrated SQL Server environment.
Error handling and sending notifications on failure of SSIS jobs.
Deploying and administrating SSRS reports.
Complex T-SQL development and debugging.
Analysis, Design, Coding, Testing, implementation and documentation of the entire database related changes.
Client Interaction on a day to day basis.
User problem resolution like solving issues and enhancement requests.
Designing and maintaining SQL server database systems.
Storage and space management.
Performance tuning of stored procedures and tables.
Index creation and defragmentation thus ensuring high index usage.
Handled MIS update process involving complex SQL queries and debugging.
Developed complex stored procedures, Functions, Views, Triggers, Cursors for mission critical applications.
Direct engagement with the Client for requirement gathering and onsite support at Malmö, Sweden.

 Description:The project involves database migration from Sybase ASE to SQL Server 2008. It also involved consolidation of three servers to one which reduced costs and improved performance of the system. SSMA and SSIS are used for schema and data migration.
 Responsibilities:
Successfully migrated the databases from Sybase to SQL server 2008.
Database schema migration using SSMA (SQL server migration assistant for Sybase)
Successfully migrated about 2300 tables containing 180 GB data from 15 databases situated in Sweden, New York and Sydney using SSIS.
Used SSIS extensively in the project for data migration and interfaces.
Created different transformations in SSIS for loading the data into SQL database which includes (fuzzy lookup, conditional split, SCD, Pivot, multi cast, merge join, Data conversion, Script task and many more).
Modified complex stored procedures, triggers and functions.
Creating Backup and disaster recovery strategies.
Modified PowerBuilder scripts to connect to SQL Server instead of Sybase.
Business Reports developed in excel and PowerBuilder were migrated to SSRS reports.
Interaction with the Client on a day to day basis and understanding the requirements.
Onsite coordinator for the Migration project handling UAT and Deployment.
Documentation of the complete migration project with Best practices and Lessons learnt.
